Notice God’s response. He steps back and basically says,
“Beloved, My desire is to bless you but if you insist on disobedience
I will allow you to pursue your desires and learn the hard way.”
According to scripture, death and destruction will be the result; it
could be literal or it could be the death and destruction of
blessings...purity, peace, relationships, finances and health. In
either case, refusing God’s counsel is the beginning of a journey
you will eventually regret.
