God gave instructions to Joshua in line with this when
he became the leader of God’s people after Moses died.
This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your
mouth, but you shall meditate on it DAY AND
NIGHT, that you may observe and do according to
all that is written in it. For then you shall make
your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely
and have good success.
(Joshua 1:8, The Amplified Bible)
Notice that God isn’t mentioned in this verse; Satan
isn’t mentioned in this verse. All that’s mentioned is what
you do with God’s Word. In fact, “you” are mentioned five
times in this verse, but God isn’t mentioned once. Your
success isn’t determined by God – it’s determined by what
you do with God’s Word.
