generally speaking, what God’s plan is for your life, but
still not know the specifics of that plan.
For example, a man may know that he’s called to the
ministry, but specifically, he needs to also know what office
he should be operating in. If he’s to pastor, he needs to
know the city, and a host of other things.

If we are to “live the good life”, we must take the paths
He prepared for us; we can’t take any other path and
expect to “live the good life”.
“Living the good life” would certainly include living a
long life. A life cut short is not “living the good life”. If
we’re to live long, we are going to have to take the paths
He prepared for us to walk. His path has long life attached
to it.
Exodus 23:25 tells us,
...and YE SHALL SERVE THE LORD YOUR
GOD, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water;
and I WILL TAKE SICKNESS AWAY FROM

Jesus was saying that just as food nourishes and sustains
the body, the will of God and His plan, nourished and
sustained Him. Without proper nourishment, the body dies.
Without the will of God carried out in a man’s life, his life
will be affected by it.

inheritance and was fleeing for his life. The region Jacob crossed
during his journey was the area that eventually became the land
of Israel. One night as Jacob was sleeping on the ground he had
an encounter with God. The Lord told Jacob He would give him
the land on which he was lying. Jacob rose early the next
morning and took the stone he had used as a pillow and poured
oil on it saying:
This stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God’s
house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a
tenth to you. [Genesis 28:22]

The first tithe mentioned in the Bible occurred before God

cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and took many captives including
Lot, the nephew of Abram [later renamed Abraham by God].
Abram, who feared and served God, led a successful rescue effort
to free Lot. He defeated the five kings and collected a great deal
of wealth as plunder. Upon Abram’s return to Salem he was
greeted by the city’s king—Melchizedek [a priest of God]. Abram
offered Melchizedek one tenth of his gains, paying the first
known tithe in human history.

with our income. We have been blessed beyond our ability to
comprehend. We have also seen God work countless miracles on
our behalf. We love to see God glorified in our finances, but there

Jesus was clear that He was not abolishing the Law, which

not questioning your salvation, nor will I like you less. This issue
is between you and God. But I guarantee, you will not experience
the financial blessing reserved for those who trust and obey God
with their finances.

walk a path that doesn’t fit your life.
The body of a man will break down under the weight of
walking a path that isn’t suited for his life. But for the
man who holds to God’s path for his life, nothing is too
weighty for that man, and his strength and health flourishes
on that divine path.

turmoil. His insides are restful and peaceful in God’s plan.

Several hundred years later, when God revealed His will to
Moses, tithing ceased to be optional—God commanded it from
His people.
Thus all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land or of
the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S; it is holy to the LORD.
[Leviticus 27:30]
God called the tithe ‘holy to Himself’...it is set apart for Him
alone! That was His will for the Israelites then and it is His will
for you and me today. God provides one hundred percent of all
you have, but He has given you permission to use only ninety
percent of it. The tithe is not ours to keep.

If we are to “live the good life”, we must take the paths
He prepared for us; we can’t take any other path and
expect to “live the good life”.
“Living the good life” would certainly include living a
long life. A life cut short is not “living the good life”. If
we’re to live long, we are going to have to take the paths
He prepared for us to walk. His path has long life attached
to it.
Exodus 23:25 tells us,
...and YE SHALL SERVE THE LORD YOUR
GOD, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water;
and I WILL TAKE SICKNESS AWAY FROM

For years I thought God’s answer was weird. Was He saying:
“I AM God. I AM the Lord. I AM the God Most High.”
I am certain Moses walked away from that conversation
scratching his head, exclaiming, “I’m going to tell them “I AM”
sent me?” Moses was an educated man, so God may have been
testing his faith. Or perhaps God knew there was no description
He could give Moses that the Hebrew slaves would understand.
They did not have the Bible as we do today, and did not know

so who should I say I represent?

You’re not just feeding your spirit for your own benefit,
but also for the benefit of others. Others need you to be
full; their welfare depends on it.
An empty can still sounds different than a full can, no
matter how long you beat on it. A full man gives off a different
sound than an empty man. Any empty vessel has
nothing to deposit into the life of another man, so stay full
so you can bless others. Just being in the ministry doesn’t
mean you’re fulfilling the fullness of God’s plan. Remember
what we stated earlier that Jesus told the minister?
“Ninety percent of My ministers live and die, and never get
into the first phase of the ministry I prepared for them.”
Notice, these that Jesus was referring to were in the ministry,
but they weren’t fulfilling His plan.

Warning: If the tips of your
index fingers ever start to turn
blue, remove the floss for a
few minutes. Never wrap
the floss around your
fingers so tight that
you cut off the
circulation.
When flossing, do not let the floss “snap” down into the
tissue between your teeth so that it cuts your tissue. The
tissue between your teeth has a pyramid shape that is
called a papilla, and when flossing, I want you to wrap the
floss around one tooth to remove the plaque in the curves of
that tooth, then go up and over the pyramid-shaped piece of
tissue to floss the other tooth.

The Bible calls God’s portion of the possessions you have “first
fruits.” They are to be used for one purpose...to honor God.
Honor the LORD from your wealth, and from the first of all
your produce. [Proverbs 3:9]
In biblical times the first fruits were the first ten percent or a
tithe of what a person produced for their livelihood. The economy
was based on agriculture, so people offered the first ten percent
of each crop to the Lord.

Rather, it was a choice between good and best. She was
choosing to be busy when she should have, like Mary, chosen
to feed on Jesus’ words. In all of Martha’s serving, she

is easier on my fingers and it does not shred and break as
easily as other materials.
If you have not received routine dental treatment for
awhile, you may have decay and sharp edges between some
of your teeth that will need to be restored before you can
use floss on a routine basis.
