This man is in heaven with the Lord now, but if he hadn’t gotten out of his grace and into error, he would have ministered many more years. What a blessing he could have been to the Body of Christ. For example, a man who flows in the gifts of the Spirit, but does not have a strong preaching or teaching gift, needs to work on developing that gift. He also needs to be under a pastor or a teacher to help keep his ministry straight, so he’ll stay in line with the Word of God. He can’t think, “They’re dry.” And they can’t think, “He’s wild fire.” We need each other and each person’s call is important. Ignorance in these areas will cause us to miss out on the supply offered by these various ministries.

Although Paul is referring to the gifts of the Spirit here, I believe this also applies to the gift ministries because they’re mentioned later in this same chapter (1 Corinthians 12:28). There are not only diversities in the gifts of the Spirit, there are diversities in the gift ministries as well. We need to make sure we don’t reject the way another person flows in their office. Who are you to say how that person functions in their calling?

You’ll notice in this verse that the word “gifts” is italicized. That’s because it was added by the translators and wasn’t in the original Greek. We could actually translate this as saying, “Now concerning the things that pertain to the Spirit.” The call on your life is a spiritual thing. It’s not natural or something that man can do – it’s God ordained. And the things ordained of God are not things we want to be ignorant about.

I got caught up in the Spirit in a service in Davenport, Iowa, and heard in my spirit, “Time is short.” Then an angel came across the auditorium with a banner that said, Time is short, time is short. Hallelujah! There was another angel who had a banner that said Signs, Wonders and Miracles. That’s the dinner bell for souls and the right kind of fruit. Visions like that don’t take place in flesh churches. Those folks remain ignorant of what God is doing and His purposes for these last days.

We changed the name of our meetings from Fresh Oil Conference to Campmeeting because God said we’d lose out on some things if we didn’t get back to the move of the Spirit like they had in those old meetings. He said we’re going to be getting back into some of those things spiritually in the coming years and I’m looking forward to it. In the coming years, those who are hungry for it and bold for it will step into a realm of the anointing like this world has never seen before. Glory to God, this is what I’ve been waiting for and been training for all these years. We’re open to whatever the Holy Ghost wants to do.

What’s wrong with people like that? They’re back-slidden! They’ve gone backwards trying to get numbers instead of fruit. The devil will give you people in your church as long as you don’t let the Holy Ghost in there. It’s the Holy Ghost that will keep your church clean! Hallelujah!
I’m telling you this. I want the devil to know and his angels to know. I want God to know, my Savior to know, and the Holy Ghost to know – He is free to move in my life anytime He wants. In all my meetings, He’s free to move.

For HE THAT SOWETH TO HIS FLESH SHALL OF THE FLESH REAP CORRUPTION; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
That’s what’s happening in those churches – they’re sowing to the flesh and reaping corruption. Those churches don’t have fruit that remains and their people never get into their phases of ministry. You’re not going to get the right fruit with a donkey show. If you get folks with a donkey show, you’ve got to keep having donkey shows to keep them. That gets numbers, but not much fruit. I want fruit that remains.

God said that faith people have been going backwards the last eight years. If you even mention the Holy Ghost in some services, a lot of people don’t know what you’re talking about. They say, “We don’t want that baggage around here.” Baggage? The Holy Ghost isn’t baggage! They say, “We’ll have a certain time in the after-glow room when the Holy Ghost can move.” Who are you, telling the Holy Spirit of God when He can move? We’re not going to be hanging off the chandeliers every service, but who are you telling the Holy Spirit when He can move?

Who did God hook you up with? Where did He hook you up? I’m Word and Spirit. It was God’s purpose for me to sit under Brother Hagin. God hooked me up with him in 1971 as the Charismatic Revival began so I could get trained. Then He brought me over with the Word of Faith people and I got under the right teaching, got the right books, and got the right impartations. But there were others called to do the same thing and they went the wrong way. They’re not good students.
Going Backwards
There’s a new generation today that wants to kill the message of faith. They say it’s not relevant to this generation. I guess their donkey and pony shows are relevant! I know Bible school graduates who are throwing away Dad Hagin’s tapes because they say it was the message for that time, but this is a new day. They’re throwing them in the trash! It’s terrible to see folks go backwards.

You can have a woman called to the ministry but if her husband doesn’t want her to go and preach and he gets in the way, he’ll end up dying prematurely. He’s not discerning his wife’s part in the Body of Christ. He’s ignorant of the knowledge of God’s purpose. You can also have a woman who doesn’t want her husband to go. She doesn’t realize she’s not discerning the part God called him to do and the purpose God told him to do. There shouldn’t be any fussing about that. You should be flowing together. Not alone – together.
You’ll never hear it out of me and my wife about the “hardness” of the ministry and how rough it is. Being out of the will of God is what’s hard! I tell you, I’m running to keep up with it and I’ve never had so much fun in all my life. What an honor to serve God!

There in Daniel, God said His purposes would be revealed to us more in these last days. He’ll reveal the purpose for your church. He’ll reveal the purpose for your anointing. He’ll reveal those things so we can be more skillful in them. Those ministers who die in their 50s and 60s aren’t skillful in what they are supposed to be doing and that’s why they go home early. Since this is the end times, we ought to be getting into that knowledge.
Your part in this end-time revival is more than being comfortable in your home and sitting around with your friends doing nothing for God. What did God tell you to do? I’ve done my best to please God and not man. When He said, “Go”, I went. And if I was too slow to go, things would start drying up. You’ve got to respond properly.

People told me if I let up on what I preached I’d have a bigger church. But I’d have to compromise on the knowledge of the things of the Spirit and the move of the Holy Spirit. I said, “Phooey on you! I know too much! To come up to light and not walk in it is dangerous.” I don’t know everything, but I know enough to walk in the light I do have.

But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the Book until the time of the end. [Then] many shall run to and fro and search anxiously [through the Book], and KNOWLEDGE [OF GOD’S PURPOSES
AS REVEALED BY HIS PROPHETS] SHALL BE INCREASED AND BECOME GREAT.
The Lord has been talking to me about something in this verse I want to share with you. We like to talk about getting all this knowledge in the natural and sending men to the moon and everything, but I want to look at it with a different slant I didn’t see before.

We’ve gone from walking to riding horses to driving cars to rocket ships; but what about increase in our knowledge of the Holy Ghost? What about increase in our knowledge of the things of the Spirit? God is raising a church today that will follow the Holy Ghost and not compromise on the Word of God, but are you going to be a part of that? I made up my mind about all that a long time ago. I’m going with God!

God’s saying here in Daniel that He wants us to increase in our knowledge of the things of the Spirit. We know there’s been increase in the knowledge of man. We’ve gone from walking to riding horses to driving cars to rocket ships; but what about increase in our knowledge of the Holy Ghost? What about increase in our knowledge of the things of the Spirit? God’s Purposes
A number of years ago, Jesus visited Brother Kenneth Hagin and said, “Some ministers I have called to the ministry live and die without getting into even the first phase of ministry I have for them.” Paul said in Second Timothy 4:7, “…I have finished my course… .” Paul got through his phases of ministry and fulfilled all God called Him to do. You see, there are phases of ministry that God wants ministers to get into. Not only are ministers to fulfill their phases of ministry, but all of God’s people have a ministry to fulfill – if not in the fivefold ministry, they are to fulfill their ministry through the ministry of helps, which means they are to serve in some capacity in their own local church. We must all get into the different phases of ministry God has for us. But many people don’t know that. They’re ignorant of God’s plans and purposes for their lives.
Jesus told Brother Hagin in the same vision that’s why many ministers die in their 50s and 60s. When you’re ignorant of God’s will for your life, it’s dangerous. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to make sure I know where I am in my phases and finish my course. You can, too. We’re all supposed to be increasing in the knowledge of God’s purposes.
