Without exception, the strong families have dads who are leaders in the home, and who have been examples to their children. These fathers have not given their children any reason to rebel. When the Bible says, “Train up a child in the way that he should go and when he/she grows old they will not depart from it,” it is not just talking about information! There’s an old saying, “More is caught than taught.” Train your children by making sure they attend church, go to Bible studies, and care about their education but also make sure they see you living out your faith on a daily basis. If you want rebellious kids, live a hypocritical life and you will be in for a long hard ride. How you live your life teaches your kids more than any information you could give them.
