The second thing we learn from this eagle illustration is
how quickly we need to recognize the enemy. We need to
deal him and his work a deadly blow at first sight. For
instance, when we feel the first seed of anger, bitterness, or
resentment begin in our hearts, we need to go to God’s
Word and prayer immediately. The problem usually is that
we don’t recognize the first attack. This is why it’s so
important to read God’s Word daily and pray, asking God
to show us when we are off track.
