To teach my children the valuable lesson of consequences for
disobedience we have “the spanking stick.”
When there is a need for a spanking…a consequence for their
behavior, I march them into the room to administer their due
punishment with a resolution of steel! Then I catch a glimpse of
“those precious eyes.” My resolve suddenly crumbles, and in the
recesses of my heart I cry out for God to give me the strength to
do my duty. It is hard to discipline our children, but it must be
done for the sake of their souls!
