A Sound, Disciplined Mind-Mrs Nancy Dufresne
Ephesians 5:18 instructs us, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein
is excess; but BE FILLED with the Spirit…” The original Greek
text (the New Testament was originally written in Greek) reads,
“…BE BEING FILLED with the Spirit…”, which shows an ongoing
action. We are to “be being filled with the Spirit” for the rest of our
lives. We are not trying to maintain yesterday’s infilling, but we are to
receive a fresh infilling every day; we are to continually be filled.
How are we to live full of the Spirit? When the disciples were
initially filled with the Spirit, they began to speak with other tongues.
So, one way to continue to be filled with the Spirit is to keep speaking
with other tongues.
