When you seriously disagree with the leadership of the church you really only have one option: go to that leader and lovingly share your concerns. Your pastor can tell in a millisecond if you are coming from a critical spirit and a critical heart. A true, humble spirit will say, “Pastor, this is how I feel. I am going to share this with you and then it is your problem.” If you have a concern, go to the church leadership, share your concern with them, pray with them, then walk out the door and wash your hands of the situation, continuing to do what God wants you to do. Submit to the decisions of leadership in the church for the good of the body. Support the leadership. Too many times in the Body of Christ people take offense, when their views aren’t acted upon. And because they aren’t submitted to authority they begin to speak against leadership. Remember, the Bible says, “Out of the mouth speaks that which fills the heart,” and too often what fills the heart is rebellion against God’s authority.
