STIR UP THE GIFT Paul told Timothy, “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou STIR UP THE GIFT OF GOD, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. FOR GOD HATH NOT GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (II Timothy 1:6 & 7). Paul was telling Timothy not to let fear keep him from moving with the gift of God that was in him, but to stir up the gift. When coming into new phases or rooms of ministry, or when coming into a greater flow of the gift of God within, fear may try to oppose you. But God has not given us the spirit of fear; we have authority over it and we are to resist it. We are to stir up the gift of God within, and boldly continue to move forward with God.
