Above the Storm-Carol Hopson

You see, these were the currents I needed to help me let
go of the anger and rise above it, and then keep my words
and thoughts pure in obedience to the Lord.
I also remembered Psalm 55:22 which promises:
Cast your burden on the Lord and He will sustain
you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
This gave me comfort and assurance whenever I needed
it. But, the choice was mine, moment by moment. I
could choose to be pulled under by the storm or I could
choose, out of love for my Lord, to rise above it. I also knew
that if I chose to “mount up,” God was ready to help me
“will and do His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:14)
