The Amplified translation states that He was to
“…accomplish and completely finish His work.” We have
assignments that God has assigned to our lives to accomplish.
We are to not only go the direction of those divine
assignments, but we are to “…completely finish His work.”
It’s one thing to start something, but it’s a completely
different thing to finish something. “Starters” are a dimea-
dozen, but “finishers” are one-in-a-million. Many are
eager to start, but few are eager to finish. Zeal will start
something, but it takes faith, patience and faithfulness to
finish something.
